what lovely generous people i met in andhra, showering me with mangoes and cigarettes and lots and lots of questions. the landscape right through was pretty constant [being a plateau and all]. super duper flat with ranges in the far far distance on either side. super strong winds and straight straight roads. the only thing i really missed from tamil nadu was the scrumdidiliyumious chai.

ecr day

the ecr [highway joining pondicherry to chennai] is bloody nice. it runs by the coast for majority of the journey and the scenery keeps changing marvelously every half an hour. super.

congress whitewash?

to: day six, off some inner road

really lucky to catch this festival drumming by the side of the road. the drummers were rock\ing everyone's socks off! i loved the way they kept cheekily smiling and egging each other urther. finally the women came out all decked up and pretty. awesome explosion, awesome feeling! ride on mister, whistle a new tune.

to: day six, entering tamil nadu

from one village in karnataka, i entered into another identical one in tamilnadu 6km later. the only only difference were the walls. gone were the movie and public health posters, to be completely replaced by political wall paintings. mangoes, betel leaves, volcanoes, cycles, smiley scary men, the sun and the moon, they had it all.

on escape from shimoga [armpit of the universe] i find myself in a joyful plentiful wonderland called bhadra wildlife sanctuary.
gorgeous and utterly friendly i'd strongly suggest a visit.
